Accident at Kansas City Construction Site sends Worker to Hospital with Serious Injury

A construction worker suffered a serious injury in an accident at the site of the new performing arts center in downtown Kansas City on Saturday.  Sources say the man fell thirty feet into a hole while working in one of the buildings theaters.  He was rescued by paramedics and firefighters who worked to stabilize the man before taking him to a nearblkjly hospital.  Witnesses say he was conscious and alert when he was loaded into an ambulance.

OSHA is investigating the cause of the accident.  This is the second accident in 2010 at the performing arts construction site.  Another man was killed earlier this year.
