Allreds Design Company Recalls Baby Bracelets and Pacifiers

Allreds Design Company manufactures baby bracelets and pacifier sets for children between the ages of 0 months to 8 years.  But not long ago, the company had to recall all bracelets sold between the months of June 2008-December 2008 because it is believed that those products may have contained traces of lead. 

The recall was announced after one family came forward.  Their 10-month old infant had received medical treatment for exposure to toxic levels of lead.

The bracelets and pacifiers varied significantly in bead shape, color (crystal, clear or colored), and design.

It is absolutely crucial to keep young children and pregnant mothers away from lead.  If you believe your child has been dangerously exposed to lead, we urge you to consult a physician immediately.  Your child may show the following symptoms: change in appetite, losing weight, constipation, growing irritability, problems learning, unable to keep food down, and even symptoms of anemia.

The effects on infants while still in the womb are especially detrimental.  The effects can stunt normal growth and even cause long term learning problems.
