Army Project Reveals Blood Tests Might Detect Severe Head Injury; Can Kansas City Patients Benefit from TBI Research?

At Roswold Law Group, we are always looking for new information to pass along in developments in the world of brain injury and treament.  A new discovery by Army Col. Dallas Hack may be a huge breakthrough in early detection of traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The preliminary project conducted by the U.S. Army reveals evidence that severe head injuries can be detected with blood tests by identifying bio markers in the blood that can be traced to traumatic brain injuries (TBI).  Col. Hack's research suggests that by targeting certain proteins in the bloodstream, severe head injuries can be detected sooner than they can by traditional imaging scans.  During the study, Hack's team correctly identified traumatic brain injuries in 34 patients.

Severe head injuries are leading to bigger problems downt he road for many victims.  Recent studies have shown that brain illnesses such as ALS are being traced back to head injuries.

Expect the rest of the medical community to begin testing and re-testing the findings of Col. Hack and his neuroscience team.  This could be a huge breakthrough for the world of head injuries.  Early detection of severe head injuries is very difficult right now as it can sometimes take years for symptoms of brain illness to develop.

As experienced Kansas City Brain Injury Attorneys at Roswold Law Group, we know that no head injury should ever be taken lightly.  Even the slightest head bump can lead to long term brain damage that can weaken the brain and make it vulnerable to serious brain illness and disease.  It's always better to have your head checked out and find there is nothing wrong than to put off the doctor and find later, your brain has developed an irreversible disease.

If you or someone you love has suffered a traumatic brain injury as the result of an accident that happened in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation for your losses.  Don't delay, contact the Kansas and Missouri Personal Injury Lawyers of Roswold Law Group.
