Child Sustains Injuries After Being Hit By An SUV

A 10-year-old boy was struck by an SUV at the intersection of North Lister Avenue and Northeast Russell Road, near Eastgate MIddle School, Monday evening in Kansas City, MO.  Police report that the child rode through a stop sign into an intersection and was struck by an oncoming SUV.

The boy was taken to an area hospital for head injuries, but is expected to recover. The driver of the SUV was not injured and is cooperating fully with the police.
