Critical Injuries in a Motorcycle Accident Along Shawnee Mission Parkway a Reminder to Share the Road with Motorcyclists

Shawnee Mission Parkway near Hadley in Merriam was the scene of an accident Wednesday afternoon that left a motorcyclist with critical injuries.  According to authorities, the motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, came into contact with two vehicles traveling along Shawnee Mission Parkway.  When Johnson County Med-Act arrived they found the rider with one leg completely wrapped around a small tree.  The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with very critical injuries.
