Distracted Driving May Have Caused Police Cruiser Accident with Pedestrian in Wheel Chair

At Roswold Law Group, we know that with the coming months of spring and summer, there are sure to be more and more pedestrians and bicyclists on the streets of Kansas City.  Pedestrians should always follow proper safety guidelines the same as motorists should be aware of possible pedestrian activity.

A scary situation unfolded in Dayton, Ohio when a 50 year-old woman in a wheel chair was hit by a police cruiser while crossing a street.  The officer in question was responding to a non-emergency call at a nearby bridge.  According to witnesses, the officer was not speeding and did not have sirens flashing.  The injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital for treatment on serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Our experienced Kansas City Auto Accident and Injury Attorneys see these kinds of accidents far too often and hope everyone is practicing safe and attentive driving techniques-- no matter if you're a school bus driver, a delivery driver or such as in this case, a police officer.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury in a bicycle or pedestrian accident in an automobile, you may be entitled to compensation for your losses, including lost wages, medical bills and even legal fees.
