Does Your Kansas City Infant Use Similac Formula; Powder Formula Recalled Because of Bug Parts

At Roswold Law Group, we are always looking for ways to help Kansas and Missouri parents.  So if you are the parent of a child that is still drinking out of bottles, this one is for you.  Abbott Laboratories has issued a dangerous product recall on Similac formula in the powder form.  The company issued the recall because they found out that cartons of the formula may contain beetles, bug parts and/or bug larvae and present a choking hazard if they go unnoticed and are ingested by a small child.  The recall is only for powder formulas in 8 oz., 12.4 oz. and 12.9 oz. containers.  The recall does NOT include the liquid formulas.

Our experienced Kansas City Child Accident and Injury Attorneys encourage you to take all dangerous product recalls very seriously and this one is no different.  If you buy Similac formula, you owe it to your child to check the company's website to find out if your formula is part of the recall.

To find out if your Similac product is part of the recall, check out the Similac Formula Recall website or call the company directly at (800) 986-8850

This is a scary situation for any parent to face simply because itis a recall that could cause very serious injury to your child if they swallow these bug pieces or larvae.  Don't think it can happen to you?  Answer this question: How many times have you gotten in the middle of the night to make a bottle for your baby and blindly stir in the formula without first checking the powder?  The image alone of accidentally feeding your baby bug parts should be enough to send any parent into a shudder.

If you have a child who has suffered a serious injury as the direct result of a dangerous and defective product in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation.  Contact the Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyers of Roswold Law Group.

With over 15 years of experience in Child Injury Accidents and Defective Product Liability cases, we can help you determine the best way to proceed with your claim.  Call today to find out how you can get a free consultation.
