Driver Flees Accident Scene in Henry County, MO. after Causing Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Well, Kansas City, spring is here and before we know it summer will follow and with it comes the beginning of motorcycle season.  We don't all have a motorcycle, but that doesn't mean Kansas City Motorcyclists can ease up on their safe and attentive driving techniques-- if anything, now is the time to take extra care and make sure you are riding safely because more and more motorcycle riders are hitting the streets and they have all the rights to road as you and I.

A 49 year-old Osceola man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another vehicle at an intersection on NE 400 road in Henry County, Missouri.  The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and died at the scene of the crash.  Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcycle, who fled the scene after the fatal accident..

Motorcycle Injury Accidents can be extremely dangerous because the motorcyclist is more vulnerable to a catastrophic injury because of how exposed they are to a direct hit from a vehicle or when making contact with the hard pavement or in this case a concrete embankment.  The experienced Kansas City Motorcycle Accident and Injury Lawyers are deeply saddened by this fatal crash and we want to offer our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of the victim of this fatal accident.

As always, we hope that in the future, all motorists and motorcyclists continue to practice safe and attentive driving techniques to ensure the roads are safe for everyone. Motorcycle accidents can happen but as long as riders are doing their best to ride safe and follow traffic laws, the chances for these serious injury accidents go way down. Follow the rules of the road-- yield to the motorist with the right-of-way and follow all stop sign and red light etiquette.  Ride Safe. Ride smart.
