Driver Flees Accident Scene in Topeka; Reckless Driving in Kansas Causes Serious Injury Accidents

We've all been in a hurry and sometimes we don't always drive the way we should when we're running late and trying to cut some time off the drive to our destination.  But being in a hurry is no excuse for driving dangerously.  No matter where you are going, it will be there when you get there, no matter how late you are.  An accident over the weekend in Topeka, Kansas showed how dangerous an accident can be when driving laws are ignored.

Three people were injured in a two-car collision at S.E. 21st and Adams in Topeka on Saturday.  The accident was caused when a Honda Civic collided with a Buick in the intersection after running a red light.  A female passenger in the Honda suffered a serious injury to her back and was rushed to the hospital.  The passengers of the Buick were shaken up, but free of serious injury.

The crazy part is that after the crash, the driver of the Honda got out, screamed at the Buick passengers for cutting him off then bolted the scene, leaving the injured woman in the back seat.
