An early morning accident on 23rd Street injures off duty police officer

A minor pile up in Kansas City, Missouri injured an off duty police officer early this morning, just as the morning rush was taking shape.  The accident, which occured shortly before 6:00 a.m. this morning, happened on eastbound 23rd Street at Interstate-435.  According to reports, there were at least three other vehicles involved.

The officer, who said he was on his way home from duty, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  No other injuries have been reported.  The accident is under investigation.

It is our hope that everyone involved made it through with no serious injuries or disruptions to their mornings.
