Fatal Topeka Train-Truck Crash Should Have Kansas City Motorists on Alert at Area Train Crossings

This isn't the first train collision recently.  There were a few last week right here in the Kansas City area as well.

Another tragic collision happened yesterday in Topeka, Kansas. should have all motorists concerned about how safe train crossings are.  A Silver Lake man was killed in a collision with a train at a crossing on N.W. Waterworks road near N.W. MacVicar and I-70 in Topeka.  The man was driving a dump truck and attempted to cross the track into the Bettis Asphalt Plant when he was hit.

The victim suffered catastrophic serious injury and was taken to a Topeka hospital where he later died.
