Recently, we blogged about a shooting injury accident at an Overland Park Police precinct and we discussed how it was a good example of how accidents can happen anywhere to anyone.
Last week, in St. Joseph, Missouri an Officer was accidentally shot and killed as he was leaving an exercise at a training school in the area. Officer Dan Kraai, a five year veteran of the police force, and several other fellow peace officers were breaking up after a training exercise when one of the other officers gun accidentally discharged, hitting Kraai in the back. The exercise itself did not require live rounds.
Kraai was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
