Fatality Car Crashes Are Down in Missouri

In fact, Missouri saw a 10 percent decrease in fatality crashes this year. The Missouri Department of Transportation has reported that fatality accidents have decreased every year since 2006.

Although we do not know what has contributed to the steady decline in statewide accidents in Missouri, it is speculated that road construction and stricter seat-belt laws have contributed to the decline. Whatever the reason, it is important to note that good driving habits should be practiced all year long, especially over the holidays when more people are on the road and in the winter when snow and ice cause additional problems for travelers.
