Fiery Crash Shuts Down Northbound Lanes of I-35 in Kansas City Area

A three car accident in the northbound lanes of I-35 delayed Kansas City area travelers Thursday afternoon around 3:45 p.m.  The crash caused one vehicle to flip over and later catch fire.  A woman in the vehicle was pulled to safety before the fire started.  She suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Another person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  According to authorities, the car wreck is still under investigation. 

The northbound lanes of I-35 were shut down as crews cleared the interstate, but were reopened by 5:00 p.m.
