National Child Passenger Safety Week is next week, Sept. 19-25. The week long celebration is being sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with the goal of raising awareness about protecting our most precious assets, our children.
The NHTSA estimates that an astonishing 3 out of 4 parents don't properly buckle their children when they get in the car. It's no surprise that auto accidents are the leading cause of death for children ages 3 to 14. On Saturday September 25 2010, you can take your vehicle, your child and of course your child safety seat to one of the specified locations and members of the NHTSA will check to make sure you're doing it the right way and answer any questions you might have about your child and his/her safety.
The Kansas City Auto Accident and Injury Lawyers at Roswold Law Group encourage all parents in Kansas and Missouri to take part in this free clinic. Even the most experienced parent can benefit from some free advice on protecting your child.
Parents, for more information on Child Safety Week, you can go to the NHTSA website to learn more about the importance of properly buckling your child in your automobile. Here you can search for safety check locations close to your home.
