Highway Road Side Safety: South Carolina Accident Raises Trucking Accident Concerns in Kansas City

Last week in South Carolina a man was killed when he was hit by a dump truck along Interstate 526. The fatal trucking accident happened near the International Boulevard according to members of the North Charleston police, The accident happened as a man, identified as Obrian Fludd, 37, of North Charleston was filling up his Lincoln Continental along the shoulder of the highway, when he was truck a passing eastbound dump. Fludd was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the dump truck claims he didn't see Fludd and the vehicle, and only heard a thump. So far there is no word on whether the driver was issued any citations or will be facing any charges in the accidental death.
