Hyundai Recall: What Should You Do if You own a 2011 Hyundai Sonata in Kansas City?

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration and Hyundai has announced it will be recalling their 2011 Sonata because of a problem with the steering shaft, which may come as a surprise because the Sonata has been considered one of the safest vehiles available for several months.

 

Be that as it may, Hyandai is urging drivers not to ignore or put off addressing this problem.  If you own one of these models, you should know that the driving shaft could become completely detached and cause a very serious injury accident.  Hyundai is offering to insepect your vehicle and replace the problem free of charge.

 

How can you tell if your vehicle is involved in the recall?  Easy.  Just check your car's manufacture date, which can be found on a sticker on the driver's side door jamb.  If your Sonata was produced between December 11, 2009 and September 10, 2010 notify your Hyundai dealership immediately or call (800) 633-5151.
