Jackson, MO. Man Claims He was Drunk-to-stay-Warm; acquitted of DWI charge

In a strange turn of events, a man charged with a DWI after a February drunk driving accident, has been acquitted by a jury, claiming he didn't start drinking until after the accident and that he was only drinking to stay warm.  Thomas Drummond of Jackson, MO.  Drummond was on his way home after a night with friends when he lost control on the icy road and crashed into a culvert.  He claims he only began drinking to keep warm and that he was stranded for nearly two hours before police and emergency crews arrived to asssist.
