Kansas and Missouri Affected by Build-A-Bear Workshop Lapel Pin Recall

With summer wrapping up, odds are you've made a trip to the Build-A-Bear Workshop.  If you've been a visitor t his summer, listen up because the following information could help you prevent a serious injury accident for your child.  The Build a Bear Workshop, located in St. Louis, Missouri along with the USCPSC have issued a recall on Love-Hugs-Peace lapel pins cecause of a high level of lead that violates Federal lead paint standards.

Product Recall Date: issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on August 4, 2011.

According to the announcement by the CPSC, the 1.5 inch lapel pin features graphics of a heart, bear head, and peace sign all positioned in front of a globe. The words ‘Love.Hugs.Peace.' appear at the bottom of the pin.

Contact your local Build-A-Bear Workshop store to receive a $5 store coupon or contact Build-A-Bear for alternate instructions on receiving a refund.

To learn more about this dangerous product recall, contact Build-A-Bear Workshop at (866) 236-5683 or visit www.buildabear.com.

As experienced Kansas and Missouri Defective Product Injury Lawyers, we encourage you to take this as well as all product recalls seriously. Most of the time you will get a replacement free of charge and in the least, you just may be asked to discontinue using the product. The products are often recalled because there is a threat of very serious injury if the problem is not addressed immediately. Think of your child's safety, not the inconvenience.
