Do you own a jogging stroller? If so, now is the time to check out the brand and make sure it is not part of two separate recalls that were announced on October 6, 2010.
The strollers, the Tike Tech Jogging Stroller and the Valco Baby Tri Mode Single and Twin Jogging Strollers, were voluntarily recalled by their manufacturers in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Both strollers pose a strangulation hazard due to the placement of grab bars and their proximity to the seat of the strollers. No injuries or incidents of this type have been reported, but both manufacturers considered the hazard to be significant enough to voluntarily recall the strollers.
At Roswold Law Group, child safety is of the utmost importance. We applaud both manufacturers as well as the CPSC for issuing this recall before there were any accidental deaths or injuries. As
experienced Kansas City Defective Product and Liability Lawyers, we often see the dark side of design or manufacturing problems on children's furniture, equipment, clothing and even toys.
We encourage everyone to educate themselves on the common types of child injuries and take measures to prevent them. Read up on this topic in our article, "
Helpful Tips to Prevent Childhood Injury". Let's keep our Kansas City kids safe!
