Kansas City Motorcyclists in Danger of Serious Injury when Motorists Fail to Yield

At Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, we knew motorcycle accidents would be on the rise as the summer progressed.  With more bikers on the road, it's a matter of numbers.  Which is why motorists need to keep an eye out, not only for other cars and trucks but for those on motorcycles as well.  Unfortunately inattentive driving and failing to yield the right of way to motorcycles continues to be a problem, not only in Kansas City, but all over the country, as well.

A motorcyclist was killed and two others suffered serious injuries in a fatal motorcycle crash that was caused by a 63 year-old motorist who attempted to make a left turn and turned into the path of two motorcycles in Fairfax, Virginia.

We hope drivers are on high alert at all times in order to prevent motorcycle wrecks. Motorcycle riders have the same rights to the road as drivers of cars and trucks. If we all look out for each other, serious injury from these motorcycle and car collisions can be reduced.

Traumatic brain injuries are serious medical emergencies. Even if there are no symptoms immediately after the crash, if you know that you have hit your head you should get immediate emergency medical attention. If you show any of the listed signs and symptoms, see a doctor right away.

Our experienced Kansas and Missouri Motorcycle Injury Attorneys are deeply saddened by the fatality unfortunate Missouri motorcycle accident and encourage automobile drivers and motorcycle riders to practice safe driving techniques and respect each other on the road. Pay attention and follow the rules of the road, including yielding the right-of-way when necessary.
