Kansas City Motorists; Is Your Toyota or Ford F-150 on Latest Recall Lists?

At Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, we always urge you to follow and pay attention to dangerous product recalls, especially when they have to do with the automobile you are driving.  Each week we will be offering up information on product recalls to help keep our Kansas and Missouri readers informed.  This week it's about automobiles, or more specifically, the Toyota Motor Corp. and Ford Motors, as both auto makers have recently announced vehicle recalls.

 

Toyota has recalled 20,000 2006 and early 2007 GS 300 and GS 350 all wheel drives so they can modify the plastic pad around and underneath the accelerator pedal.  There is a fear that the molding can come undone and cause interference with the gas or brake pedals.

 

In addition, Toyota will be recalling 372,00 2004-2007 RX 330, RX 35o and RX400 vehicles as well as 397,000 2004-06 Highlander and Highland RV to replace the carpet because the retention clips are malfunctioning and could cause carpet to come undone and affect accelerator.

 

Ford is recalling 144,000 2005-06 Ford F-150 trucks because of a concern the air bag could deploy for no reason.
