Kansas City Parents Concerned Over Birth Defects That May Have Been Caused By Motorola

Kansas City parents beware.  If you currently work for or have worked for Motorola in the past in what is called a “clean room,” or have been exposed to the fumes ventilated from one of these rooms, we urge you to read this article.

Since the 1960s, Motorola has been using “clean rooms” to manufacture computer chips and semiconductors in a sterile environment.  However, these sterile rooms were supplied with multiple toxic chemicals in order to make them sterile.  These chemicals were suspected to be dangerous to the reproductive health of adults who were exposed to the chemicals for too long.  Sure enough, evidence quickly followed.

In 1986 Johns Hopkins University and IBM worked together on a study of the chemicals Motorola was using.  They found evidence supporting the notion that these chemicals could be causing birth defects.  And oddly enough, some of the employees that had worked in the “clean rooms” where these suspicious chemicals were released had given birth to children who suffered from the following birth defects: autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, sterility, brain and skeletal malformations, physical and mental impairments.

In light of this evidence, as many as 71 plaintiffs have come forward to file suit against Motorola.  At least 30 children are believed to have been affected by these chemicals.

If you believe that a child you love has been negatively affected as a result of a big business acting negligently, we urge you to give any one of our Kansas City Child Injury and Accident Lawyers a call as soon as possible.  We are committed to protecting children and we can help you.
