Kansas City Pedestrian Safety a Concern after Late-Night Hit and Run

It's easy to think that as the weather gets warmer, more people will be out and about, whether it be as a motorist, bicyclist or pedestrian. Last week, a woman suffered a very serious injury when she was struck by a car while crossing the street at 67th and State Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Police are investigating the crash but say the driver was traveling at least 40 m.p.h. and did not stop after striking the woman. She was taken to KU Medical Center for treatment on her injuries.
