Kansas City Police Officer in Pursuit Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash that Could have Been Prevented

Such and accidedent happened last Saturday when a Police Officer was involved in an accident at Independence Road and Hardesty in Kansas City, Missouri.  The injury car accident was caused when the Officer neared the intersection, flashing lights and sirens.  Once traffic came to a halt, the officer attempted to cross the intersection the police car was struck by a pick-up truck with tried to go around and/or through the stalled traffic.

 

There were four passengers in the pick-up, two women and two children.  The two adult women here hospitalized with injuries suffered in the crash.  Thankfully the kids and the officer were free of injury.
