Kansas City Police Officer Injured in Head-On Collision

A Kansas City Police Officer and another motorist were both seriously injured in a head on collision that happened in Indepence, Missouri over the weekend. The officer, a Jackson County Sherriff's Deputy, was pursuing another vehicle on Highway 24. He swerved to miss hitting a motorcyclist on the road but was unable to avoid an oncoming SUV.
