Kansas City Sledding Accident Leaves Oak Grove Girl Paralyzed and Parents Praying for a Miracle

The sledding accident happened during the first snow storm a couple of weeks ago.  Johnny Hartwig had taken his daughter and a friend to a slope at Frick Park in Oak Grove.  The girls were riding on a two person sled when they were unable to avoid collision with a tree.  The 13 year-old victim immediately lost feeling in her legs and has been in Children's Mercy Hospital since.
