Kansas Working to Ban Texting While Driving

The Kansas state senate is attempting to help protect Kansas drivers.  The senate approved a bill to make it a traffic infraction to text while driving.  The bill would also include a ban on the use of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), texting devices, cell phones and laptop computers. 

Texting while driving and cell phone use are the leading cause of distracted driving accidents.  The split second drivers take to look at their handheld devices can mean the difference between life and death for themselves and other motorists.  The state of Missouri also has pending legislation that will strengthen Missouri laws regarding texting while driving.
