Law Enforcement Agencies Work Together on Click It or Ticket Campaign

Seat Belts Save Lives.  Click It or Ticket.  The messages are clear and Missouri law enforcement agencies along with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are working together to get Missouri drivers to buckle up.  The statistics speak for themselves and most everyone seems to realize that wearing a seat belt is important, but one in four Missouri drivers still do not wear a seat belt and only 77 percent of Missourians wear a seat belt regularly. 

This week three children were ejected from a vehicle in the metro area during a weather-related traffic accident.  One of those children, only 8 years old, was fatally injured.  The other children were taken to local hospitals with significant injuries.  None of the three children ejected from the vehicle were wearing seat belts.
