The
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a product re-call on August 26th, 2010 for 18,500 units of the Magnetic Maze Board, a children's learning tool created by
Lakeshore Learning Materials, of Carson, Calif. The re-call was issued on the dangerous product because of a chokng hazard caused by a detachable wand and magnets that can cause serious injury if swalloed or digested. At Roswold Law Group, we encourage Kansas City parents and teachers to take this, as well as all dangerous product re-calls very seriously. Some are more dangerous than others. Never think that just because you have never had a problem with your model that disaster can't strike at any time. The Magnetic Maze Boards that have been re-called in this situation have already genereated numerous complaints to the Lakeshore Company, but thankfully there have been no reports of serious injury so far.
Our
Kansas City Child Accident and Injury Attorneys have too many serious injuries in children to be able to over look such a dangerous product as this. Kids will be kids. No matter how well we guide them, from time to time they will have the urge to stick something in their mouth that shouldn't be there. We hope all parents and teachers in Kansas and Missouri respond quickly to this re-call if you have this product in your class room or home. Better to be safe than sorry.
