Man hit by car while crossing intersection in Kansas City, Missouri, injuries not life threatening

Look both ways before you cross the street.  A Kansas City man got a harsh reminder of that lesson this morning when he was hit by a car while crossing an intersection in Kansas City, Mo.  The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection at 39th and Gillham Road.  The man who was hit sustained some injuries, including a cracked rib and minor head and leg inuries but none seem to be life threatening.  As of the time of this posting, it was not reported of the driver will be charged for the incident.

As drivers we learn to watch for pedestrians and slow or even stop when approaching crosswalks.  However in order to avoid accidents like this it is just as important for pedestrians to beward of oncoming traffic as it is for drivers to be aware of those crossing streets.
