May is MOTORCYCLE SAFETY Month!
The month of May is dedicated to motorcycle safety, and there are many simple things that motorcyclists can do to keep themselves and the other motorists around them safe and out of harms way while out enjoying a ride.Staying alert and attentive to one's surroundings is a key to remaining safe -- regardless of the type of vehicle you are driving. Always use caution and adhere to the speed limit, especially at intersections and on busy streets where a pedestrian or another vehicle can easily cut into your path. And, since motorcyclists are so exposed to the elements wearing a helmet in addition to other protective equipment such as leg guards, wrist guards, and back protectors is a must! Bear in mind that regardless of the law in your state, helmets save lives and padded clothing and other specifically engineered protective gear help minimize injury should an accident happen.
Warm spring temperatures are a great excuse to get out on your bike and go for a ride. Just remember that staying alert and staying awake means staying alive. Enjoy the ride!
