The Missouri Tiger football team has a second blemish on their record and the season hasn't even started.
Sunday around 1:00 a.m. Will Ebner, a junior lineman for the Tigers was pulled over by a Boone County sheriff's deputy. The deputy reported that the SUV Ebner was driving was moving erratically on Columbia, Missouri streets. Ebner was found with bloodshot eyes, incoherent speech and he failed a breath-alcohol test. He was arrested and released later on $500 bond.
Sadly, on August 2nd a Missouri Tiger offensive line coach, Bruce Walker, was also arrested for DWI by campus police, just outside the Tiger team facility. Both men have September court dates to answer to these charges.
Many of us realize that the consumption of alcohol is part of campus life at universities across the nation. What isn't a part of it, however, is driving while intoxicated. The facts and figures are alarming. Check out our article, "
DUI accidents in Kansas City" to find out more about the dangers in our own area about drunk driving.
At Roswold Law Group we have 15 years of experience in dealing with drunk driving accidents. As
Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyers we were glad to hear that neither of these arrests were due to accidents and applaud the MU campus police and Boone County sheriff's department for their vigilance in keeping Columbia streets safe. Let's hope the MU football team and the university deal harsh punishments to show the gravity of these actions.
