Off-Duty Police Officer Involved in Car Accident in Kansas City on 23rd Street near I-435

An off-duty officer was injured in an accident Tuesday morning around 6:15 a.m.  The crash occurred on 23rd Street near I-435 in Kansas City, Missouri, and involved a pileup of three vehicles.  The officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  According to police, the crash is under investigation.
