The television morning news shows were abuzz about a teen driver in Ohio who survived a crash that was caught on a police dashcam video. The video shows a 1985 Pontiac Firebird speeding up the median of an interstate highway. The car hits a culvert and is launched into the air, slamming into an overpass, virtually exploding on impact.
The video is shocking and the pictures of the aftermath of the accident make it impossible to think that anyone survived such a crash. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol the teen driver who landed along the side of the highway, was flown by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities are trying to determine if alcohol was involved and whether or not the teen was wearing his seatbelt.
