Reports from the scene indicate the fatal crash happened when the driver lost control of a car, went off the road and hit a tree, causing three people to be thrown from the back of the truck. One of the victims who was ejected was thrown onto the road and hit by two other vehicles. The other two ejected passengers suffered serious injuries but refused medical treatment. None of them were wearing a seat belt. While the crash is under investigation, Ohio State Police believe the driver of the vehicle was speeding.

It may not be an exact science but numbers indicate that half of those lives could be saved by simply buckling up. That's over 20,000 lives that can be saved just by buckling up.
