One Dead, Two Seriously Injured after Car Accident-- Kansas City Motorists Urged to Buckle Up

Looking for another reason to buckle up? Look no further than a tragic crash in Cininnati, Ohio, where one person was killed and two others were seriously injured after a collision caused three people to be ejected from a vehicle.

Reports from the scene indicate the fatal crash happened when the driver lost control of a car, went off the road and hit a tree, causing three people to be thrown from the back of the truck. One of the victims who was ejected was thrown onto the road and hit by two other vehicles. The other two ejected passengers suffered serious injuries but refused medical treatment. None of them were wearing a seat belt. While the crash is under investigation, Ohio State Police believe the driver of the vehicle was speeding.

As experienced Kansas City Auto Injury Lawyers, we know that nothing is 100% certain to protect you if you're involved in a severe motor vehicle collision but we have seen enough accidents to know that you're more likely to survive a crash if you are wearing a seat belt. Every year, over 40,000 people die in car accidents, many of them right here in Kansas and Missouri. It may not be an exact science but numbers indicate that half of those lives could be saved by simply buckling up. That's over 20,000 lives that can be saved just by buckling up.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury in an auto accident in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation. Call experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Attorney James Roswold.
