Rollover accidents can happen suddenly and without warning. However they can be prevented in advance by simply practicing safe and above all, attentive driving techniques. Often a driver can lose focus on the road. Unfortunately it happens all the time. When this happens the instinct can be to drastically crank the steering wheel to over-correct your path. However this can be exactly what causes the crash. Instead, slow down, gently pumping the breaks and slowly guide the vehicle straight.
A tragic example of the worst than can happen occurred last night in Benton County, Missouri when a 49 year-old
man from Overland Park, KS. was killed in a single car rollover crash on MO. 82 highway. Another passenger, a woman, was hospitalized with serious injury after the wreck. Police think the accident was caused by the driver over-correcting after drifting too close to the median.
