Pediatrics Suggest Keeping Your Kansas City Child in a Rear-Facing Seat Until They are 2 years-old

The American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested a new policy that will require you to keep your child in a rear facing car seat either until the age of two or until the child reaches the proper age or height requirement.

At Roswold Law Group, we know protecting your child is your number one priority. For those of you that have a child in a car seat, especially if they are under the age of two, this news is for you. The new policy is designed to protect your child, especially infants, if you are involved in a car accident. Rear facing car seats cradle the child or infants head protecting them from head, neck and spinal injuries.

Our experienced Kansas City Child Injury Attorneys want you to feel secure driving with your child. We also know that you and your child might not like this new policy but remember it is being done for you child's safety. This change in car seat law is to protect your child from a serious injury if not death in the event of an auto accident.

You can be the world's safest, most cautious driver but that doesn't mean accidents can't or won't happen.

Drive safe and drive smart, especially if you are driving with a child. Buckle them up and use the car seat the proper way. While you're at it, buckle yourself up too. Besides being the law, it may prevent serious injury for you as well. Besides, if your child sees you buckling up, it will be easier to get them to follow the law as well.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury in an accident in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation for your losses. Call the experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyers of Roswold Law Group. With over 15 years of experience in Child Injury Accidents including Auto Accident cases, we may be able to help you and your family get through this difficult and often stressful time.
