Recent Child Deaths in At-Home-Daycares Have Kansas and Missouri Parents Concerned for Safety

A parents worst fear was realized this week when a 16 month-old boy was killed after being hit by a car driven by the woman who runs the day care.  The accident happened at an at home day care center at the 9000 block of Jackson Street in Thornton, Colorado.  Police say the woman had loaded several other children into her car and backed out to leave, not realizing all of the children in the car.

 

The woman has run her at home day care for over six years and has never had an incident before this tragic day.
