Safe Driving Important During Winter Snow Storms

While living in Kansas or Missiouri, snow storms are likely to occur pretty often during the winter months.  This week’s latest snow storm resulted in hundreds of car accidents in the St. Louis area alone.
Though not heavy, the snow that began to fall at 4 a.m. Thursday, created slicks roads making the commute especially slippery.
Combined with the snow, cold temperatures and strong winds made the evening rough.  The few inches of snow that the area did get was blowing and drifting making driving conditions even worse.
PATIENCE is the biggest requirement when driving during the winter months.  Getting to your destination safely should be your biggest concern – not how fast you can get there.  Slow down and allow yourself plenty of time.
