Wear Your Seat Belt! The message couldn't be clearer.
Unfortunately, a young man lost his life and another battles serious injuries following a crash in Moniteau County, Missouri. The crash occurred Thursday evening when Bryce Pruitt, a 20 year old from California, Missouri lost control of the car he was driving with passenger, Northwest Missouri State distance runner, Waylon Martensen. The vehicle left the road on the right side, when the driver over-corrected and the car veered off the left side of the road, overturning and crashing into a tree. Neither man was wearing a seat belt and both were ejected from the vehicle
Martensen was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead Friday morning. Pruit was taken to St. Mary's health center with serious injuries.
The Kansas and Missouri personal injury attorneys of the Roswold Law Group would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Waylon Martensen. We know some people feel it isn't "cool" to wear a seat belt, but we also know that seat belts save lives. If you look through our
Auto Accident Blogs you will see a repeated pattern of accidents with serious injuries and deaths directly caused by people not wearing seat belts.
As
Kansas City personal injury and accident attorneys, we want to encourage all Kansas and Missouri drivers and passengers to
always wear seat belts. It is the single most effective vehicle safety feature you have to protect yourself and your loved ones.
