SUV Crash Near Topeka Kills Olathe Couple; Injures 4 Children

The families of an Olathe, KS. couple are mourning today after a tragic SUV accident near Topeka, Ks. on Wednesday killed two adults and injured their four children.  The accident was triggered when the Ford Explorer, traveling west on Interstate 70 blew a tire, flipped over on its side, went into a ditch and hit a bridge pillar.  The passenger of the vehicle, a 33 year old man, was trapped in the vehicle when the roof collapsed and died at the scene of the acciedent.  The driver, a 25 year old woman, was air lifted to a nearby hospital but eventually succumbed to injury and passed away.

The couple was traveling with their four children, ages, 2, 6, 8 and 10.  Police say the kids suffered only minor injuries.  Everyone was wearing their seat belts.
