Top Head Injury Professionals Get Together for 6th Annual Missouri Brain Injury Statewide Conference

The 6th annual Brain Injury of Missouri Statewide Conference is going on this week in St. Charles, Missouri This year's event, "Brain Injury: Fact, Fallacies and New Frontiers" is focusing on treatment for severe head and brain injuries, especially concussions.  Each year the conference draws profssionals from a variety of fields, such as health care professionals, psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, physicians, vocational rehabilitation coordinators, social workers, case managers and others who work in fields that deal with severe head and brain injuries.

 

If you still want to try and make it out to, St. Charles, MO., Friday's panels include Sports Concussions, Integrating Soldiers into the Community following Brain Injury and Concussion Assessment and Management.  For more information, including a list of events and start times, as well as a list of guest speakers; check out the website for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri.

 

On Saturday October 23, there will be a special art show, displaying artwork done by brain injury victims.  Friends and family of the artists are encouraged to attend the show free of charge.
