Twelve Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Being Struck by Car in Kansas City

A 12-year-old boy hospitalized after he was involved in a hit and run accident near his home. The Child Pedestrian Injury Accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at 18th Street and Cambridge Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.  The boy suffered several broken bones but his injuries are not expected to be life threatening. Kansas City Police are investigating the crash and say the driver stopped after hitting the child.

Now, here is the scary part.  Police believe that alcohol may be involved in the pedestrian injury accident.
