Two-Vehicle Crash Caused by not Stopping at Red Light; Three Suffer Serious Injuries, One Ejected from Vehicle

Failing to obey traffic laws is the easiest way to cause a serious injury accident. When you add alcohol to the equation, the situation can only get worse. That's the possible situation after a two-vehicle crash in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday. Three people suffered serious injuries in an automobile accident that was caused when a van ran a stop light and collided with a sports utility vehicle. One passenger in the SUV was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries. Reports indicate at least two others were also hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police have said they are investigating the crash to determine if the driver of the van was drinking and driving at the time of the crash.
