USCPSC Re-Call of Bells Sports Bike Helmets Affects Kansas and Missouri

Bell Sports along with the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission (USCPSC), has recalled over 31,100 full-face bicycle helmets in the United States because of legitimate risk of a severe head injury. The dangerous product recall was announced by the U.S.CPSC on May 31, 2011.

This dangerous product recall, which does affect Kansas and Missouri, was issued after discovering a problem with the plastic buckle connecting the chin straps which can fail, causing the helmet to come off the person's head. This poses a severe head injury risk to riders if the event of a bicycle accident that could throw them from the bike.

Check your bicycle helmet for the following informa tion--Part and model numbers: 1003825/035011898025, 1006714/035011917719.
