USCPSC Recalls Fisher Price Load-N-Go Wagons for Lacerations Risks; Kansas City Affected

At Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, we make it our responsibility to get the word out to Kansas and Missouri parents whenever a well known company issues a dangerous product recall.  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Fisher Price Toys have announced a re-call on over 200,000 Little People Builders' Load ‘n Go Wagons because of laceration hazards posed by the children's toy. The product recall went into effect on July 28, 2011.

The dangerous product recall was issued after discovering that the back of the wagon's plastic handle has molded-in reinforcement, which adds stiffness and facilitates children gripping the handle. A laceration hazard if a child falls on the handle. Fisher-Price has received seven reports of injuries, including five which required stitches or surgical glue.

Consumers are being advised to contact Fisher-Price for instructions to learn how to receive a free repair kit.

For more information about the product recall, consumers can contact Fisher-Price at (800) 432-5437 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit www.service.mattel.com.

As experienced Kansas and Missouri Defective Child Injury Lawyers, we encourage you to take this as well as all product recalls seriously. Most of the time you will get a replacement free of charge and in the least, you just may be asked to discontinue using the product. The products are often recalled because there is a threat of very serious injury if the problem is not addressed immediately. Think of your child's safety, not the inconvenience.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury in an accident caused by a defective product in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation for any losses you are burdened with. Don't try and take on the insurance companies alone, call our experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Attorneys. With over 15 years of experience in Dangerous Products Injuries and Defective Product Liability cases, we may be able to help you and your family through this difficult and often stressful time.
