Virginia Worker Killed in Forklift Accident; Concerns at Kansas City Warehouse for Worker Safety

At Roswold Law Group, we know work related accidents can happen anywhere at anytime. We also know there are certainly some jobs that are far more dangerous than others. Chemical plants, warehouses and factories are some the most dangerous places to work. A tragic accident at the APM Terminals in Portsmouth, VA. showed us why.

A 38 year-old woman was killed in a work related injury accident when she was struck by a fork lift while acting as the "slinger" on a project.  The woman was standing on a dock using a radio to guide a crane operator when she was suddenly struck by the fork lift.  The driver of the fork lift had their vision obsturcted and couldn't see the woman.  She was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

As experienced Kansas City Worker Injury Attorneys we hope you take all of your workplace safety guidelines very seriously. Sometimes you repeat a task over and over every day and you feel like you could do it in your sleep but even the most routine and mundane tasks should be taken serious in case of a malfunction that can not be predicted.

We'd like to extend our deepest regrets to the Florida family and friends of the victim. The long term affects of a work related accident aren't easy to see right away. But medical bills pile up, not to mention the stress that can mount if you miss work. It puts pressure on the whole family.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury as the result of a work related accident in Missouri or Kansas, you may be entitled to compensation including medical bills, lost wages and legal fees. If this sounds like your situation, you need someone in your corner you can trust. Call the experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyers of Roswold Law Group. With over 15 years of experience in Workplace Injury Accident and Wrongful Death cases, we may be able to help you and your family through this difficult and often stressful time.
