Kansas City Slip and Falls: Serious Accidents And A Leading Cause of Wrongful Death

Slip and fall accidents kill more than 16,000 Americans each year. When wrongful death occurs, the surviving family members of the accident victim may be able to collect compensation for their loved one’s injury and for the family’s loss. Wrongful death damages include any expenses related to the injury that led to the death. These expenses may include lost earnings and medical bills, as well as the pain and suffering the deceased may have suffered between the onset of injury and his death. These damages are known as “survival damages” because had the deceased survived the accident, he could have recovered these losses with a Missouri personal injury claim.
