MacLaren Baby Strollers Pose Risk for Injury to Hands and FingersThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC), in a joint announcement with British Baby Stroller manufacturer, MacLaren, has announced a voluntary recall of every MacLaren Umbrella Folding Stroller the company has sold in the United States over the last ten years. The reason is a design defect in the hinge mechanism of the stroller that could cause a baby’s hand or finger to be severed or injured.
The announcement included the following warning for consumers using the stroller: “Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.”
